Listing Policy

Effective date: August 30, 2026

This policy says what may be listed on TopSlash, how we check it, and what happens when something is removed. It is part of the Terms of Service. By submitting a website you confirm: "I have authority to list this product and I accept the Listing Policy and Terms."

1. What may be listed

A listing must be a working public website for an understandable software product: a web app, SaaS product, mobile or desktop app, API, developer tool, plugin, or similar. A visitor must be able to open the site, understand what the product does, and see who offers it.

You must have authority to list the product: you own it, or the owner authorized you. See the Vendor Terms.

2. What may not be listed

We reject, and we remove, listings in these categories:

This list is not a complete list of everything we may refuse. We may reject or remove any listing that we believe is unsafe, misleading, unlawful, or harmful to users or to the Service.

3. How verification works

When you submit a URL, we run automated checks: we validate the URL, resolve and check the destination, load the page safely, check the domain against reputation services, extract the public product information, take a screenshot, and screen the page's text with automated classifiers. If every check passes, the listing publishes right away, usually within a couple of minutes. If any check is uncertain, the listing goes to a person for a quick look, usually within 24 hours. If a check fails clearly, the listing is rejected and we tell you the safe reason (for example, "site did not load" or "content could not be understood as a software product") and how to appeal.

Verification is automated checks plus human review of exceptions. Passing verification is not an endorsement. It means the site passed our safety and content screen at the time we checked. We do not test the product, we do not verify its quality, and we do not verify prices beyond what the Vendor Terms require.

Published listings are re-checked: a daily safety check against reputation services, and a weekly check that the site still loads. A site that fails the safety check is unpublished immediately. A site that fails to load three weekly checks in a row is unpublished as "site unreachable". You can ask for a re-scan from your dashboard (once a day) after fixing a problem.

We do not disclose the internal details of our checks, and we do not share the raw output of our classifiers or reputation sources.

4. One live listing per domain

Each domain may have one live listing. "Domain" means the registrable domain: app.example.com and example.com count as the same domain. If two different products genuinely live on subdomains of one domain, ask us; we review such cases by hand. Submitting the same domain again while a listing is live is refused. If your listing was removed, do not resubmit the domain; appeal instead (Section 6).

5. Accuracy duties

After verification, you confirm or correct the product name, tagline, description, category, logo, screenshot, pricing page link, and optional X handle. You must make sure they are true, and keep them true. Edits are re-screened and may be held for review. You must not:

If you sell a deal, the accuracy duties in the Vendor Terms also apply, including the former-price rule for the normal annual price.

6. Removal, appeal, and history

Removal. We may unpublish a listing at any time, with or without notice, for a breach of this policy, the Terms of Service, or the Vendor Terms, for a failed re-check, for a credible report, for a legal demand, or to protect users. When we unpublish, we email you the reason category and a link to appeal. The listing page shows "This listing was removed". Any deal is paused, and open buyer holds are released (buyers are told they were not charged).

What is kept. The listing's placement total and its complete bid history are kept and stay public. Unpublishing never changes a total. If the listing is republished, it returns to the position its total produces at that time. See the Ranking Rules.

Appeal. You may appeal a rejection or a removal within 14 days of our email, from the appeal page while signed in. State what happened and what you have fixed. We decide within 5 business days and email you the outcome. If we accept, the listing is republished. If we deny, the listing stays removed; a denied appeal can be reopened only by us.

Refunds. Removal for a reason you caused does not refund placement payments. Removal for our own error within 7 days of a payment may. See the Refund & Finality Rules.

Withdrawing your own listing. You may unpublish your own listing from your dashboard at any time and republish it later, unless your account is banned. There is no refund for withdrawing.

7. Reports

Anyone may report a listing from its page, for malware, phishing, adult content, scam, impersonation, a broken site, or another reason. We review every report. One report per visitor per listing is accepted. False or abusive reports may lead to a ban.

8. Bans

We ban accounts for serious or repeated breaches, for fraud, for listing without authority, for evading a removal, or for abuse of reports or appeals. When we ban an account, all its listings are unpublished, its deals are ended, its open holds are released, and its future submissions are blocked. Bans are not refunded.

9. The listing fee

The first 50 approved founder listings pay no fee. After that, publishing a listing costs $19, which covers listing and automated verification. The fee never buys rank. It is not refundable once verification has run, except for a platform technical error. See the Refund & Finality Rules.
